Brittni and George met at work in 2018 when Brittni hired George to help her run campaigns for political candidates in West Virginia. Brittni grew up in Chesapeake, while George was born in Parkersburg. The two worked together for years and became best friends. Five years later, George decided he wanted Brittni to be his boss forever and asked her to marry him on the beach during a family vacation in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
On November 26, 2022, the pair were married in a ceremony held in front of their friends and family at The Blennerhassett Hotel. The late November wedding found the historic hotel decorated in reds and greens for the upcoming holiday, effortlessly merging with the atmosphere of the day. Brittni wore a minimalist fit and flare gown accessorized with sheer fingerless gloves—the words “to have and to hold” and “to love and to cherish” written on the ends of each. George, dressed in a classic black tuxedo, eagerly awaited their first look prior to the ceremony, immediately overcome with emotion after laying eyes on his stunning bride. The couple tied the knot in a ceremony made intimate by the love they so obviously share for each other and the people around them.
The reception kicked off in high spirits that surrounded the newlyweds throughout the night as they moved through the wedding day activities—memorable dances, tear-worthy speeches, the cutting of the cake, a garter removal, and so much love. Brittni and George were rarely separated, soaking in the moments as they joined friends and family in dancing the night away. Today, Brittni owns her own digital media and graphic design firm, MCG Creative, and George represents the West Virginia State Building & Construction Trades at the Capitol in Charleston. The couple lives in Kanawha County with their two dogs and seven cats.
