Katie, of Weston, and Corey, of Pennsboro, shared a proposal so perfect, it threatened to melt the snow-capped hills of the Snowshoe Mountain spruce forest where Corey asked Katie to marry him during a Valentine’s weekend horse-drawn carriage ride. Katie said “yes,” and they were married a year later.

Katie did a first look with her father and a first touch with Corey before walking down the aisle to Daniel Jang’s “You Are the Reason” instrumental, pausing to kiss her dad before meeting her groom at the altar. She wore a sheer, floral lace dress with a nude base and cathedral veil.

She designed and created her bouquet herself, as she did all of the florals for the wedding, from dried and faux florals and ornamental grasses in a soft, natural palette. The bridesmaids wore frost-colored, floor-length chiffon dresses in various styles, and groom and groomsmen wore beige linen suits with taupe satin ties and vests.

The groom also wore a jacket, and the groom’s party looked their best thanks to a pre-wedding shape-up from Corey’s barber. The pair exchanged traditional vows and were married by a childhood friend of Corey’s late father.

The newlyweds shared their first dance to Kygo, Gryffin, and Calum Scott’s acoustic “Woke Up in Love” on clouds of fog before a mother–son dance to “Her Little Man” by Jami Grooms. The couple performed garter and bouquet tosses, and the cake table featured a five-tiered faux cake with floral accents and a “Mr. and Mrs. Davis” gold topper—dessert consisted of matching personal cakes for each table and a homemade pie bar.

The night’s festivities ended with a sparkler send-off for the new couple. Katie and Corey currently live in Morgantown, where Katie works as a manager of employee engagement and experience and Corey works as a senior officer specialist.
