Years in the Making

AbiGail, from Hurricane, and Sam, from Charleston, met through mutual friends in 2017. The years passed and their love for each other grew, culminating in a romantic moment at home in 2022. Their private engagement was the start of two years of planning the perfect day to say “I do.”

The night before the wedding, guests were welcomed to the Emeline Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina, for refreshments and received thoughtfully crafted boxes of items made within the city. The wedding day itself started as many often do: the hustle and bustle of swishing fabrics, hushed spritzes of hairspray and cologne, the excited chatter of loved ones.

AbiGail donned her Alyssa Kristin strapless, form-fitting gown before making her way to meet her father and, later, her groom for a series of first looks. The couple met again at the altar as an instrumental version of “Turning Page” by Sleeping At Last played softly.

They exchanged vows in front of loved ones on that warm, May day, sealing their promises with a sweet kiss. At the reception, guests witnessed their first dance as husband and wife and listened to emotional speeches.

In addition to a dinner of filet or shrimp and grits, guests also enjoyed a late-night snack of cheeseburger sliders and truffle fries. DJ NattyHeavy kept the party going with incredible tunes. The newlyweds basked in the joyful experience, celebrating their love with the friends and family who had traveled to be with them on such a special day.

Eventually, the two slipped off to their getaway car and disappeared into the night in anticipation of their Turks & Caicos honeymoon. The new Mrs. and Mr. currently reside in Scott Depot, working as a speech pathologist for Putnam County Schools and an engineer with Enviroprobe Engineering respectively.
