An Ethereal Wedding At Pig Hill Farm and Vineyard

This wedding at Pig Hill Farm and Vineyard in Webster Springs was a perfect backdrop for a bohemian and ethereal day.

Austin met Madison through her sister, Taylor, during his first year of law school. Sparks flew and, six years later, Austin, a native of Morgantown, popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, who grew up in Winchester, Virginia, and Webster Springs. The pair were on a scenic hike while vacationing in the Pacific Northwest—the perfect setting for a proposal.

Perfect love at pig hill farm and vineyard

The wedding venue was easily chosen, since Madison’s family runs one in Webster Springs called Pig Hill Farm and Vineyard. The bride was escorted down the aisle to a flower-covered arch wearing a Liancarlo ball gown with a plunging V-neck and tulle skirt. Her veil was tinted blue and hung to the floor. The couple exchanged original vows before joining friends and family for a sit-down dinner held in a hangar on the property.

Flowers were an important component and were arranged by the bride’s family’s flower shop with help from renowned florist Aaron Sears. Lavender and fuschia roses featured in the arrangements along with allium, bullet, gold, and lavender spider mums as well as larkspur, snapdragons, and dozens of other flowers. Guests feasted on steak, lobster, and Cornish game hens at the reception and danced to live music. The couple carved two three-tiered wedding cakes made of multiple flavors including chocolate with peanut butter filling, white chocolate with raspberry filling, red velvet with cream cheese filling, almond white, carrot cake, and lemon cake with gold drip. Wedding favors to commemorate the evening included ready-made s’mores packages and to-go pepperoni rolls for a late night snack.

After their big day came to a close, the couple departed for a honeymoon in Lanai, Hawaii, before returning home to Denver, Colorado, where Madison works as a counselor/legal case consultant and Austin works as a legal contract director, both for the State of Colorado.
