Libby Ebersole, from Altoona, Pennsylvania, and Jared DeProspero, a Hurricane native, love the holiday season. So, in December 2022, they decided to go big, heading to 5th Avenue in New York City to take in the splendor of Rockefeller Center decked out for the holidays. It was there that Jared asked Libby to be his wife.

They were married the following year in a Catholic ceremony, the day of loving brought together through Libby’s careful planning and attention to detail. The bride made her way down the aisle on her father’s arm in a chapel-length fit and flare gown with intricate lace detailing.

After the traditional ceremony and exchange of vows, the newly married couple moved celebrations to the Pete Dye Golf Course, a venue on the site of a retired coal mine with a deep connection to Jared and his late father.

Arlo McKinley’s “This Mess We’re In” played as Jared & Libby danced for the first time as husband and wife, large marquee letters handmade by the bride proudly spelling out their now-shared family name.

Guests enjoyed a choice of Atlantic salmon or braised beef tenderloin, all accompanied by salad, country-style green beans, roasted asparagus, and smoked gouda mac ’n’ cheese. Signature drinks were available at the bar: a “his” old fashioned, a “hers” spicy margarita, and an “ours” White Claw with Bacardi lime shooter.

DJ Jazzy JC kept the party going late into the night, guests staying energized by snacking on pepperoni rolls and soft pretzels. Homemade limoncello and photos from a 360 photo booth served as perfect mementos of the evening.

Libby and Jared donned matching Nike sweat suits before escaping into the night. They honeymooned in Montego Bay, Jamaica, before returning to Morgantown to settle into married life.
