Eight Years to ‘I Do’

Before family and close friends, Jaryn Dodrill and Jacob Perine were married at the beautiful Four Oaks Manor in Buford, Georgia. The white clematis that adorned the outdoor altar were the perfect complement to the bride’s bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath.

Just as in sync were the bride and groom as they shared their self-written vows. As they told each other how their love had grown throughout the nearly eight years they’d been together, tears of joy flowed from those in attendance.

Jaryn wore a strapless satin gown, perfect for the seasonably warm evening. Her attendants wore champagne-colored satin gowns, while her flower girls matched her in white. Jacob and his groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos, as did his dad, who served as officiant. Also in formal wear, guests commented on how true and sincere the ceremony felt as they made their way to the reception.

After introductions and a dinner featuring a menu inspired by the Peach State, toasts were made by the father of the bride and others, including the best man—the groom’s older brother—and the maid and matron of honor, best friends of the bride.

After special dances, including the newlywed’s first to Brad Paisley’s “Then,” the DJ played tune after perfect tune as guests took to the floor, and the dancing never stopped. The last song was “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” a nod to the couple’s home state.

With sparklers in hand, guests then lined the walkway as the couple exited the venue and were chauffeured off-premises in a 1947 DeSoto to the hotel where the party continued. The couple left the following day for a weeklong honeymoon in Saint Lucia and currently reside in Marietta, Georgia.
