Jamie and Corey’s story began when Jamie’s father encouraged Corey to ask her out on a date. Three years later, Corey planned a weekend getaway to propose to Jamie, and the couple enjoyed a weekend at The Greenbrier resort. During a romantic horse and carriage ride he’d pre-arranged, Corey asked if they could stop for pictures at the Springhouse—where he got down on one knee and proposed.
The newly engaged couple planned an elopement on the northern coast of Ireland, where they would say their “I do’s” at the lush, remote ruins of Dunluce Castle. Breathtaking scenery of rocky cliffs surrounded the couple, their immediate family, and two very close family friends as they celebrated the coming together of Jamie and Corey in an intimate ceremony.
Jamie proceeded down the aisle with her father by her side in a shimmery, sequin tulle dress. She carried a bouquet of local stems made up of soft, cream-colored flowers and lush greenery, with a small touch of purple heather to pay homage to Ireland’s native flora. The celebrant, used traditional Irish wedding vows and performed a Celtic handfasting ceremony.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their loved ones enjoyed a cliffside picnic together, Jamie and Corey popped a celebratory bottle of bubbly. Hues of white, gold, and soft pinks graced the table alongside luxurious charcuterie boards, a table spread including fresh fruits and vegetables, breads, crackers, cheese, and various dips.
Pink cupcakes with accents of white and gold were offered as dessert. The lavish picnic included whiskey from the nearby distillery. Jamie and Corey stayed in Ireland for their honeymoon before making the journey home to Scott Depot, where Jamie is a support services representative and Corey is a journeyman.
