Amber and Richie of Logan County had an instant connection to each other when they met. Amber serves as City Clerk for Logan and Richie, a businessman, purchased the parking building in Downtown Logan. Sharing the same work ethic and passion for people, their relationship grew into a beautiful friendship. From their first night talking until the sun came up, to their first “parking lot kiss” the couple knew they had found something special in each other.
Four years later, the couple stood on a cold night on Valentine’s Day by the Greenbrier Springhouse. Richie could hardly get the words out before Amber said “YES!” Planning a wedding in 2020 was no easy task, but the couple found a way. From the moment the couple laid eyes on each other at the wedding during their first look in the North Parlor, the love they shared was obvious to all that witnessed it during the intimate wedding. Amber made her way down the aisle to be given away by her father. The couple shared personal vows they wrote for each other, under the historical 1948 Greenbrier Chandelier.
Amber and Richie, with their children and parents, shared an intimate sand ceremony, bonding the family and their faith. The reception kicked off with the entrance of the couple, Amber stunning guests again with a wardrobe change: a sparkling dinner gown. Richie and Amber treated their guests to the delicious dining experience of the Jerry West Prime 44 served in the Cameo Ballroom on custom Greenbrier Springhouse dining ware.
The newlyweds had a four tier cake from the Greenbrier bakery, and Amber had a coal-themed cake made for Richie, highlighting his career in the coal industry and serving in memory of his grandfather, Howard Branham. The couple enjoyed emotional toasts from every guest in attendance as the piano music filled the room. The couple celebrated their union by sharing a “familymoon” with their children at The Greenbrier.
