According to the beloved song, “A dream is a wish your heart makes,” and on a cool winter day in Disney World, Samantha and Joe’s dreams came true with a romantic proposal in front of Cinderella’s Castle. This Disney-loving couple launched into planning their special day, being sure to sprinkle touches of Walt’s magic wherever they could.
Their outdoor ceremony took place under the autumn sun at Honeybee Hills. Samantha wore a traditional princess ball gown, made fit for a queen with a royal cathedral train and a tiara with its own pair of royal cathedral veils. Bringing October colors into the mix with a classic touch, Joe and his groomsmen wore burgundy tuxedos, while the bridesmaids donned floor-length martini olive green and burgundy-colored dresses.
The bride made her way down the aisle on the arm of her father to a custom song that combined “Kiss the Girl,” “Under the Sea,” and “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid—the bride’s favorite Disney princess movie.
After a traditional Christian ceremony led by Pastor Wayne Hooper, guests made their way into the star-studded reception—more than 30 Jim Shore Disney figurines were used to decorate the space, with nods to wonderful world of Walt Disney appearing in the favors, custom gift boxes, toasting glasses, and cake-serving utensils.
The smitten newlyweds celebrated their nuptials with a dance to “Ma Belle Evangeline,” from The Princess and the Frog. For dinner, guests enjoyed smoked pulled pork and BBQ chicken with traditional sides, including macaroni & cheese, green beans, and coleslaw. Doughnuts, cookies, and ice cream ensured everyone had a sweet treat to enjoy before the sunset sparkler send-off.
The bride and groom currently reside in Given as case manager for River Valley Child Development Services and an environmental services technician for BBU Services of WV.
